EETH 2360 - *Industrial Communications This is an introductory course in data communication as used in the industrial environment. Topics include the theoretical aspects of data communication such as bandwidth, channel capacities, error detection/correction, setting up and configuring different types of networks, RS-232, RS485, Ethernet, fiber optics, wireless networks, and several proprietary industrial networks.
Prerequisites: EETH 1110 Corequisites: EETH 2360L
Contact Hours: Two lecture hours per week Laboratory Hours: Two laboratory hours per week Vocational/Career Program Designation: *Designated primarily for vocational/career programs
This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution. This course is collegiate level work, but it has been developed with a purpose other than being a university parallel course.
