MUS 1057 - Music Theory I

This course focuses on fundamentals of pitch and rhythmic notation, scales, intervals, diatonic, triads, and seventh chords in major and minor keys; as well as, principles of voice leading and harmonic progressions, Roman numeral and lead sheet notation.

Semester Availability: SPRING ONLY - Semester Availability is subject to change.  See your advisor.

Prerequisites: MUS 1002  or satisfactory score of theory placement exam.
Corequisites: MUS 1058  

Contact Hours: 45 lecture hours per semester
