PTAT 2100 - *Introduction to Physical Therapy This course introduces the physical therapist assistant student to the history of the physical therapy profession and the PTA, contemporary physical therapy practice and the role of the PTA in relationship to the physical therapist and other health care providers, and the American Physical Therapy Association. Medical terminology and documentation techniques are also introduced in relation to physical therapy practice.

This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution. This course is collegiate level work, but it has been developed with a purpose other than being a university parallel course.
