BIOL 1110 - ^General Biology I This is a comprehensive course emphasizing cell biology, molecular biology, metabolism, genetics, and the evolution of biological diversity. This course is meant to satisfy the natural science or area of emphasis requirements of the Biology, Pre-Dental Hygiene, Pre-Health Professions, Pre-Occupational Therapy, Pre-Physical Therapy, and Psychology curricula. It is highly recommended that students take CHEM 1030 prior to this class if they do not possess a strong science background. (Same as TN eCampus BIOL 1110) Credit in only one of the following courses can be used toward graduation or general education requirements, unless otherwise noted in the curriculum: BIOL 1030, 1010, 1110, 2010.
Semester Availabilty: (Subject to Change) Fall, Spring, Summer Prerequisites: All learning support competencies in reading and writing and either successful completion (grade of C or higher) of both high school biology and chemistry with a composite ACT of at least 19, or successful completion (grade of C or higher) of either BIOL 1030, CHEM 1030, or CHEM 1110 . Corequisites: BIOL 1110 Laboratory
