MECH 2300 - *Automation Systems This course is a study of the automation systems utilized within a mechatronics system. Topics covered will include Metal Cutting, Modal Analysis, CNC, CAD, CAM, programming and microcontrollers that are used in modern manufacturing technologies.
Prerequisites: MECH 1500 and either MATH 1130 or MATH 1710 Corequisites: MECH 2300L
Contact Hours: Three lecture hours per week Laboratory Hours: Two laboratory hours per week Vocational/Career Program Designation: *Designated primarily for vocational/career programs
This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution. This course is collegiate level work, but it has been developed with a purpose other than being a university parallel course.
