MECH 2400 - *Motor Control This course is a study of the principles of motor control. Topics covered will include general machine operations and motor control techniques; mechanical components and electric drives; motor sensors, braking and loads; motor efficiency and power; preventive measures and troubleshooting techniques.
Prerequisites: MECH 1200 and either MATH 1130 or MATH 1710 Corequisites: MECH 2400L
Contact Hours: Three lecture hours per week Laboratory Hours: Two laboratory hours per week Vocational/Career Program Designation: *Designated primarily for vocational/career programs
This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution. This course is collegiate level work, but it has been developed with a purpose other than being a university parallel course.
