CITC 2351 - *CCNA Security


The Cisco Networking Academy CCNA Security course provides a next step for individuals who want to enhance their CCNA-level skill set and help meet the growing demand for network security professionals.  The curriculum provides an introduction to the core security concepts and skills needed for the installation, troubleshooting, and monitoring of network devices to maintain the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of data and devices.

Semester Availability: FALL ONLY - Semester Availability is subject to change.  See your advisor.

Prerequisites: Acceptable placement scores or completion of all Learning Support Competencies in Reading and Writing and CITC 2322  or CCNA Certification
Contact Hours: 45 lecture hours per semester
Vocational/Career Program Designation: *Designated primarily for vocational/career programs
This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution. This course is collegiate level work, but it has been developed with a purpose other than being a university parallel course.
