ISCI 1030 - ♦Science, Society and Sustainability The course will apply the scientific method as a problem solving tool for understanding current scientific issues with global and societal impact. Emphasis will be given to collection, presentation and analysis of data while integrating common themes from biology, chemistry and environmental science.
Prerequisites: Acceptable placement scores or completion of all Learning Support Competencies in Reading and Writing and an ACT Math subscore of 19 (or equivalent) or completion (with a grade of C or higher) of MATH 1005 , MATH 1130 , MATH 1710 or a higher course Corequisites: ISCI 1030L
Contact Hours: Three lecture hours per week Laboratory Hours: Three laboratory/field hours per week General Education: Course can be used to meet Minimum General Education Core requirements. Credits: (4)
