AIIT 1610 - *Workplace Safety

This course focuses on industrial safety, including personal safety and equipment, hazard recognition and safeguards. AIIT 1610 covers electrical safety procedures and hazardous materials and emphasizes OSHA rules and regulations.

PREREQUISITES: Successful completion of all learning support competencies in reading, writing and mathematics.
COREQUISITES: AIIT 1610L
Hours: Two lecture, two laboratory hours per week
Vocational/Career Program Designation: *Designated primarily for vocational/career programs
This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution. This course is collegiate level work, but it has been developed with a purpose other than being a university parallel course.
