MECH 2200 - *Introduction to Totally Integrated Automation

This course is an introduction to Totally Integrated Automation. Topics covered will include the automaton pyramid, analogue sensors and actuators, STEP 7 functions, MPI-Bus and PROFIBUS systems, and systems maintenance and troubleshooting.

PREREQUISITES: MECH 1500, MATH 1710
COREQUISITES: MECH 2200L
Hours: Three lecture, two laboratory hours per week
Vocational/Career Program Designation: *Designated primarily for vocational/career programs
This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution. This course is collegiate level work, but it has been developed with a purpose other than being a university parallel course.
