BIOL 1200 - *Foundations of Research This course is an introduction to research focused on the basic skills needed to identify a research question, develop an experimental plan, execute that plan, properly collect data, and appropriately draw and present the conclusions. Fundamental lab techniques and basic statistical analysis will be introduced. Departmental approval required.
PREREQUISITES: Acceptable placement scores or completion of all Learning Support Competencies in Reading and Writing and an ACT Math subscore of 19 (or equivalent) or completion of MATH 1005 , MATH 1130 , MATH 1710 or higher with a grade of C or higher. COREQUISITES: BIOL 1200L Hours: Five Hours Vocational/Career Program Designation: *Designated primarily for vocational/career programs
This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution. This course is collegiate level work, but it has been developed with a purpose other than being a university parallel course.
