READ 0810 - Skills for College Reading

This is a course designed to improve reading comprehension and skills in the areas of main idea, supporting details, organization and relationships, vocabulary development, and critical and strategic reading.  Students read a variety of texts and complete an individualized study plan. Successful completion of READ 0810 satisfies the Reading Competency Level 1 and may satisfy Reading Competency Level 2.

PREREQUISITES: ACT Reading score of 13 - 18 or equivalent.
COREQUISITES: VSCC 1000
