GEOL 1040 - ♦Physical Geology This course is an introduction to the physical geology of the earth including composition, structure and evolution. Laboratory and field experiences involve rock and mineral identification, along with map and field interpretation of geologic structures.
PREREQUISITES: Acceptable placement scores or completion of all Writing and Reading Learning Support Competencies and an ACT MATH subscore of 19 (or equivalent) completion of MATH 1005 , MATH 1130 , MATH 1710 or higher with a grade of C or higher. COREQUISITES: GEOL 1040L Hours: Three lecture, two field/laboratory hours per week. General Education: Course can be used to meet Minimum General Education Core requirements. Credits: (4)
