CRMJ 2030* - Drug Identification and Effects


A study of the fundamentals needed for identifying both the appearance and effects of controlled substances. Students receive guides to controlled substances; their color, trade names and drug codes.  Topics include a critical examination of the physiological, sociological and legal aspects of drug abuse and the many complexities which have developed as a direct or indirect result of drug abuse in society.

PREREQUISITES: At minimum, eligible for Learning Support Reading and English.
Vocational/Career Program Designation: *Designated primarily for vocational/career programs This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution. This course is collegiate level work, but has been developed with a purpose other than being a university parallel course.
