PTA 265* - Therapeutic Applications IV Treatment procedures and appliances including prosthetics, intermittent compression and orthotics. Assessment and treatment of the patient with peripheral vascular disease including lymphedema and amputations. Introduction to principles of rehabilitation of patients with neurological dysfunction.
PREREQUISITES: PTA 221*, PTA 253*, and PTA 250*. Hours: Fifteen lecture and thirty laboratory hours per semester. Vocational/Career Program Designation: *Designated primarily for vocational/career programs This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution. This course is collegiate level work, but has been developed with a purpose other than being a university parallel course.
