PARA 2000C* - Field Internship
Final supervised application of skills developed in PARA 1050C* and PARA 1540C*. Clinical experiences are performed in emergent, convalescent, urban and rural settings on ambulances with Advanced Life Support Certification. Emphasis is on the student’s ability to demonstrate organizational skills, prioritizing care, treatment choices for a variety of patient demographics, team leadership and professional behavior expected of an entry-level Paramedic. Successful candidates will have met all of the assigned paramedic clinical benchmarks.
Vocational/Career Program Designation: *Designated primarily for vocational/career programs. This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution. This course is collegiate level work, but has been developed with a purpose other than being a university parallel course.
