LAW 104* - Torts The course presents a study of civil wrongs for which the victim may receive a remedy and emphasizes the role of the paralegal in tort litigation. An overview of tort law is provided, as well as an analysis of such matters as negligence, intentional torts, liability, misrepresentation, bad faith, malpractice, and various miscellaneous torts.
PREREQUISITES: ENGL 1010, LAW 101* or permission of program coordinator. Vocational/Career Program Designation: *Designated primarily for vocational/career programs.; This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution. This course is collegiate level work, but has been developed with a purpose other than being a university parallel course.
