EMT 104* - Survey of Anatomy and Physiology for Pre-Hospital Providers

A survey of Human Anatomy and Physiology designed for EMT’s and Paramedics.  Body systems, physiological concepts, metabolism and nutrition are discussed using the medical model.  The course will not substitute for either BIOL 2010 or BIOL 2020, nor will it satisfy any part of the general education natural science requirements for the AA, AS, or AAS degrees.  

COREQUISITES: EMT 1500*, EMT 1510*, EMT 1530*, EMT 1540C*.
Hours: Two lecture hours per week.
Vocational/Career Program Designation: *Designated primarily for vocational/career programs.  This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution. This course is collegiate level work, but has been developed with a purpose other than being a university parallel course.
