PARA 1540C* - Paramedic Clinical II

Continued supervised clinical applications of advanced skills in ambulances and hospital specialty care units.  Emphasis is on advanced patient assessment, history taking, treatment modalities and the development of critical thinking skills and decision making skills necessary for independent practice with on and off-line medical direction in medical and trauma emergency situations. 

PREREQUISITES: PARA 1040*. 
COREQUISITES: PARA 1500*, PARA 1510*, PARA 1520*, PARA 1530*.
Hours: A minimum of twelve hours of clinical instruction per week.
Vocational/Career Program Designation: *Designated primarily for vocational/career programs.  This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution. This course is collegiate level work, but has been developed with a purpose other than being a university parallel course.
