LAW 135* - Law Office Technology This course provides students with basic knowledge of the hardware and software found in the law office. Specific software packages and computer systems designed for, or applied to, use in law offices are emphasized. In addition, computer assisted legal research (CALR) techniques, especially through West Publishing Company’s WESTLAW system, are studied.
PREREQUISITES: CIS 100 or permission of program coordinator. Repeated: The course may be repeated for credit. Vocational/Career Program Designation: *Designated primarily for vocational/career programs This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution. This course is collegiate level work, but has been developed with a purpose other than being a university parallel course.
