EMT 215C* - EMS Clinical III (Advanced) Supervised clinical applications of advanced skills in ambulances and hospital specialty care units such as I. C. U. or O. R. and Emergency Departments. Emphasis is on advanced patient assessment, history taking, treatment modalities and the development of critical thinking skills necessary for independent practice with on and off-line medical direction in medical emergency situations.
COREQUISITES: EMT 211*. Hours: A minimum of sixteen hours of clinical instruction per week. Vocational/Career Program Designation: *Designated primarily for vocational/career programs This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution. This course is collegiate level work, but has been developed with a purpose other than being a university parallel course.
