EMT 216* - Paramedic Theories II (Special Considerations)


Advanced theories for paramedic practice and treatment modalities based on normal physiology of human body systems and how these systems are related during environmental, hazardous exposures, and home care emergencies. Emphasis is on situations routinely encountered in day-to-day EMS operations. Discussions include supervisory concepts, scene management, medical incident command, special rescue considerations, and hazardous material awareness.

Hours: Six lecture hours per week.
Vocational/Career Program Designation: *Designated primarily for vocational/career programs This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution. This course is collegiate level work, but has been developed with a purpose other than being a university parallel course.
