CTM 230 - *Computed Tomography Clinic


This course is one of a three course set in whole-body Computed Tomography (CT) imaging. The complete set provides formal specialized training in CT whole-body imaging before independent performance. The clinical component is conducted at an approved clinical education center and requires supervised performance of computed tomography of the head, neck, spine, chest, abdomen, pelvis, and musculoskeletal system. Arrangements for clinical education are made by the students to obtain clinical experience with a Volunteer State Community College-approved CT facility.

Prerequisites: Acceptance into the Computed Tomography Technical Certificate
Corequisites: CTM 210 , CTM 220  
Contact Hours: 360 clinical hours per semester
Vocational/Career Program Designation: *Designated primarily for vocational/career programs
This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution. This course is collegiate-level work, but it has been developed with a purpose other than being a university parallel course.
