LOGI 2050 - *Logistics and Supply Chain StrategyA study of the strategic and tactical decisions throughout the logistics and supply chain management processes. Topics include the supply chain concept; obtaining a competitive advantage through supply chain management; techniques to measure, improve, and manage supply chain performance; the effect of interdependent activities and firms on overall performance and behavior; inventory management approaches; trade-offs made in managing supply chain activities; the role of logistics management and its effect on supply chain performance; and safety and risk management. Semester Availability: (Subject to Change) Fall Prerequisites: This course should be taken in the last semester prior to graduation after all other required LOGI courses have been successfully completed or may be taken concurrently with them. These other LOGI courses include LOGI 1000 , LOGI 1010 , LOGI 1030 , LOGI 2040 . Contact Hours: 45 lecture hours per semester Vocational/Career Program Designation: *Designated primarily for vocational/career programs This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution. This course is collegiate level work, but has been developed with a purpose other than being a university parallel course.
