RESP 1399 - *Clinical Internship I

This course is a supervised clinical application of skills developed in previous RESP courses to include humidity and aerosol therapy, gas administration devices, equipment cleaning and sterilization, airway clearance techniques, pharmacology, arteriotomy and hyperinflation therapy. Supplemented by medical director instruction and required seminars.

Semester Availability: (Subject to Change) Summer
Prerequisites: BIOL 2020, RESP 1410, RESP 1430, RESP 2440
Corequisites: RESP 1310, RESP 1420, RESP 2445
Contact Hours: 288 clinical hours per semester
Vocational/Career Program Designation: *Designated primarily for vocational/career programs
This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution. This course is collegiate level work, but it has been developed with a purpose other than being a university parallel course.
