MECH 2490 - *Manufacturing ApplicationsA study of manufacturing improvement processes in a mechatronics system for real world applications. Topics covered will include process variation, waste reduction, continuous improvement, and basic time study methods. Students will work as a team to apply improvement methods in a real world application with a final presentation. Semester Availability: (Subject to Change) Spring Prerequisites: MECH 2320 , MECH 2441 (or concurrent enrollment), ENGL 1010 , COMM 2025 or COMM 2045 , and MATH 1130 or MATH 1710 or higher Contact Hours: 45 lecture hours, 30 lab hours per semester Vocational/Career Program Designation: *Designated primarily for vocational/career programs This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution.
