MECH 2320 - *Motor Control


A study of the principles of AC and DC motors, motor control, and general machine operations in a mechatronic system including functions and properties of machine control elements and the roles they play within the system. Topics include general machine operations and motor control techniques.

Semester Availability: (Subject to Change) Fall
Prerequisites: MECH 1310  and either ACT Math subscore of 19 or equivalent or completion of MATH 1005  with a C or higher.
Contact Hours: 30 lecture hours, 30 lab hours per semester
Vocational/Career Program Designation: *Designated primarily for vocational/career programs
This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution. This course is collegiate level work, but it has been developed with a purpose other than being a university parallel course.
