RADT 1320 - *Radiation Biology and SafetyThis course is a study of the impact of radiation exposure on biological systems, methods for measuring and monitoring radiation, and the responsibilities of the radiographer to protect personnel, patients, and the public from excessive exposure. Quantities and units of radiation are discussed in reference to x-ray equipment, radiation protection, and detection devices. Semester Availability: (Subject to Change) Spring Contact Hours: 45 lecture hours per semester Vocational/Career Program Designation: *Designated primarily for vocational/career programs This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution.
