DAST 1570 - *Clinical Practicum IA supervised clinical experience in general dentistry to master basic dental assisting skills. Emphasis is on the role of the dental assistant operative dentistry and patient care. Semester Availability: (Subject to Change) Spring Prerequisites: DAST 1660, Acceptance into the Dental Assisting Program Contact Hours: 60 clinical hours per semester Vocational/Career Program Designation: *Designated primarily for vocational/career programs This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution.
