SONO 2006C - *Clinical Education IAn introduction to the practical implementation of the sonographic imaging and patient care processes in a clinical setting where students will observe and perform a variety of sonographic examinations under the guidance of registered diagnostic sonographers in accordance to specific institutional guidelines and protocols. Sonographic examinations will be completed by the student and evaluated with clinical competencies by a sonographer registered in the specific exam specialty being evaluated. (This course was previously UST 211C) Semester Availability: (Subject to Change) Fall Prerequisites: Formal admission into the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program. Contact Hours: 360 clinical hours per semester Vocational/Career Program Designation: *Designated primarily for vocational/career programs This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution. This course is collegiate-level work, but it has been developed with a purpose other than being a university parallel course.
