SOCI 1010 - ^Introduction to Sociology


This course is an introduction to sociology as a science and to basic sociological concepts, social structure, and social institutions, including the family and education.  [This course was previously SOC 101.]  (Same asTN eCampus SOC 1010)

Semester Availability: (Subject to Change) Fall, Spring, Summer
Prerequisites: Acceptable placement scores or completion of all Learning Support Competencies in Reading and Writing or concurrent enrollment in ENGL 0810  and READ 0810  as determined by placement.
Contact Hours: 45 lecture hours per semester
General Education: Course can be used to meet Minimum General Education Core requirements.
