ENGR 2130 - Circuits IThis is a course in the fundamental concepts of charge, current, voltage and power; passive and active circuit elements; mesh and nodal analysis; Thevenin's and Norton's Theorems; superposition; source transformations; operational amplifiers; natural and forced response of RL, RC, and RLC circuits; average and effective values of periodic wave forms; phasors and impedance; and polyphase circuits. Computer-aided circuit analysis and statistical analysis are included in the course. It is recommended that students have taken or concurrently take MATH 2120 - Differential Equations and MATH 2010 - Introduction to Linear Algebra with this course. Semester Availability: (Subject to Change) Spring Prerequisites: PHYS 2120 with a grade of C or higher or concurrent enrollment in PHYS 2120 Corequisites: ENGR 2130 Laboratory Contact Hours: 45 lecture hours, 45 lab hours per semester Division: Mathematics and Science Department: Science Credits: (4)
