DAST 1620 - *Preventive Dental AssistingThis course is a study of the practices and philosophy of preventive dentistry which can be integrated into all dental settings. Includes oral hygiene, nutrition, counseling, and safety. Semester Availability: (Subject to Change) Spring Prerequisites: DAST 1540 and acceptance into the Dental Assisting Program Contact Hours: 30 lecture hours, 30 lab hours per semester Vocational/Career Program Designation: *Designated primarily for vocational/career programs This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution.
