GEOL 1060 - ^Earth’s Environments


This course is an introduction to geology as it relates to human activities.  Topics include geologic hazards, global climate trends, resource depletion, and pollution.

Semester Availability: (Subject to Change) Spring Semester of Odd Numbered Years
Prerequisites: GEOL 1040  with a grade of C or higher or GEOL 1030  with a grade of B or higher
Corequisites: GEOL 1060 Laboratory
Contact Hours: 45 lecture hours, 30 field/lab hours per semester
General Education: Course can be used to meet Minimum General Education Core requirements.
