PTA 110 - *Physical Science for the PTA

This course is a study of the fundamentals of the physical sciences as applied to the practice of the PTA. Topics covered in the course include: mechanics, electricity, heat exchange and transfer, energy, and motion.

Prerequisites: MATH 1130, MATH 1710 or permission of the department
Contact Hours: 15 lecture and 30 laboratory hours per semester
Vocational/Career Program Designation: *Designated primarily for vocational/career programs
This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution. This course is collegiate level work, but it has been developed with a purpose other than being a university parallel course.
