FIRE 1325 - *Fire Investigation I


This course provides the fundamentals and technical knowledge needed for proper fire scene interpretations, including recognizing and conducting origin and cause, preservation of evidence and documentation, scene security, motives of the fire setter, and types of fire causes.

Semester Availability: FALL ONLY - Semester Availability is subject to change.  See your advisor.

Prerequisites: Acceptable placement score or completion of all Learning Support Competencies in Reading and Writing in addition to FIRE 1310 , FIRE 2320 , FIRE 2330  (or approval from department)
Contact Hours: 45 lecture hours per semester
Vocational/Career Program Designation: *Designated primarily for vocational/career programs
This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution. This course is collegiate level work, but it has been developed with a purpose other than being a university parallel course.
