VET 105 - *Animal Science for Vet Technicians

This class focuses on the management, husbandry and general health care of animals used in agriculture. An introduction to nutrition, breeds, proper housing and relevant physiology will be covered. Special emphasis will be placed on handling procedures, common illnesses, physical examination, delivery of medications and other procedures typical of food animal veterinary practice.

PREREQUISITES: Admission to the Veterinary Technician Program.
Vocational/Career Program Designation: *Designated primarily for vocational/career programs

This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution. This course is collegiate level work, but has been developed with a purpose other than being a university parallel course.
