RPC 201 - *Fundamentals of Respiratory Care I

The theory of all basic equipment excluding ventilators is presented including topics on medical gas therapy, humidity and aerosol therapy, microbiology, cleaning and sterilization, pharmacology, and physiological measurement and monitoring devices.

PREREQUISITES: Acceptance into the Respiratory Care Program.
COREQUISITES: RPC 220 and RPC 229.
Vocational/Career Program Designation: *Designated primarily for vocational/career programs

This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution. This course is collegiate level work, but has been developed with a purpose other than being a university parallel course.
