OMT 101 - Beginning Keyboarding & Word Processing

This course emphasizes speed building, accuracy building, and word processing in touch typing. The production of memos, tables, business letters, and reports in timed and untimed settings is emphasized. In order to enter this course, students must be able to type 35 net words per minute on a straight copy speed test administered on the first day of class. Students unable to pass this speed test will be dropped from OMT 101 and enrolled in OMT 100 for remediation.
