A Note to Visitors
The College administration, faculty, and staff welcome visitors to the campus. During the academic year general administrative offices are open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The Office of Evening Student Services is generally open until 8:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, until 5:30 p. m. on Friday. The College provides the opportunity for students to increase their knowledge by providing programs of instruction in the various disciplines and programs through faculty, who are qualified for teaching at the college level. The acquisition and retention of knowledge by any student is, however, contingent upon the student’s desire and ability to learn and his or her application of appropriate study techniques to any course or program. Thus, the college must necessarily limit representation of student preparedness in any field of study to that competency demonstrated at that specific point in time at which appropriate academic measurements were taken to certify course or program completion.

It is the individuals responsibility to voluntarily and confidentially disclose information regarding the nature and extent of a disability. Student Right-to-Know Act
The following information is provided in compliance with the federal Student Right-to-Know (SRTK) and Campus Security Act of 1990, which requires all institutions of higher education to disclose information about program completion. The graduation and transfer-out rates are provided for all first-time full-time students who first enrolled at Volunteer State Community College during the fall 2013 semester. The graduation rate includes all students who completed a certificate or associate degree in three years or less of initial enrollment at the institution. The transfer-out rate represents students transferring to another higher education institution. The graduation rate for full-time students first enrolled fall 2013 and graduating by August 2016 was 22.4%. The transfer-out rate for this same population was 11.9%. The combined graduation and transfer-out rate was 34.3%. Graduation rates for athletes are as follows: basketball 20.0%; baseball: 20.0%; softball: 31.3%. Transfer rates for athletes are as follows: basketball 10.0%; baseball: 50.0%; softball: 37.5%. The combined rates for athletes are as follows: basketball 30.0%; baseball: 70.0%; softball: 68.8%. Additional information concerning completion rates of students may be obtained from the Office of Institutional Effectiveness, Research, Planning and Assessment.

Statistics for all crimes are published and distributed to employees and students on an annual basis, in the time frames required by Federal/State law, and are available to applicants for enrollment or employment upon request from the Department of Campus Police (452-8600, ext. 3595 or 230-3595).
